  • Idyllic countryside setting, immaculate cottage and spotlessly clean, charming and gratuitous hosts

On arrival we were welcomed by our lovely host Suzanne and some very delicious scones with jam and cream witch went down lovely with a cup of tea after our long drive from the Forest of Dean. The open plan living was great as i was not stuck in the kitchen on my own when i cooked Sunday lunch. very comfortable beds, great amenities, comfortable furniture and a smart t.v made our stay a real treat, a lovely home from home. The owners were unobtrusive but always available if we had any questions. Loved watching the blue tits that fed just outside our kitchen window and the pheasants that wandered the garden. Absolutely loved the log burning fire, real cosy!! We had a lovely meal at the local pub The Sidemouth Arms, returning again for a nice glass of wine also very welcoming. Lots of good local attractions to visit and good supermarkets. We had a wonderful time and hope to return again next year. Thank you Suzanne for a wonderful stay.

We loved our stay at the cottage, it really did have everything we wanted for our holiday: Peaceful surroundings, a hot tube, wood burner, lovely interior, wonderfully clean and homly. So much to see and do in the surrounding area. Catherine and Patrick were great and their shop was well stocked with a lovely selection of wine and food stuffs. We would love to return for future holidays.
