WOW!

5 of 5
As soon as we opened the door to Marlin Cottage we felt at home. What a wonderful, cosy and warm atmosphere. Loved absolutley everything about the decor, furnishings, patio walled garden and finding Welsh Cakes, milk, tea etc on arrival. Words cannot really do adequate justice to this beautiful cottage as you need to be there to understand how cosy it is. We managed to park in the street and the card showing we were staying, to put in the car, caused the neighbours to stop and have chats with us. Marlin Cottage is an ideal base for walking and we walked every day due to the fantastic weather. Blue skies and sunshine for almost the whole week. It only let us down on our last day. Conwy Mountain walk - spectacular. Walks in the Circular Walks in the Conwy Valley book were also amazing. We have left some recommendations in the visitors book for walks just in case anyone else is keen. OS map handy as some of the walks have waymarkers missing. Easy walk into town and we loved the Albion Ale House for real ales. George & Dragon for friendly staff and sensibly priced food, also The Bridge. We took note of the other recommendations i.e. Amelies and Watsons, but as we also ate in (brilliant oven/hob and utensils) we didn't get that far! Make sure you do the town/Castle walls walk. Well worth it and you can see Marlin Cottage from one of the towers. Washing machine a real bonus and due to weather we got all our drying done on the line outside! Used dishwasher a couple of times and worked really well. The garden is a real bonus and sun trap. Sat out there late afternoons with our tea and cake on returning from our walks. Bed so good we even tried to fit it in the car to bring home. Thank you, thank you Linda and Mark for sharing your cottage with us. Will recommend highly. Sue & Mike
