A magical place in a wonderful part of the English countryside

5 of 5
We had the most wonderful week here. The Cow Shed itself is a spacious, well-appointed and comfortable base for a holiday, we loved it. Everything works, the spaces are beautiful inside and out - comfortable sofas and bed, cosy 'sun trap' walled garden and a balcony to chill out on - great for breakfast or an evening tipple! Wendy and Mark are the perfect hosts, friendly and knowledgeable about the area - nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very welcome. This really is a fantastic base from which to explore Dartmoor and the surrounding areas. We stayed for a week and barely scratched the surface. We loved walking, exploring, climbing tors, seeing the wonderful wildlife, swimming in the crystal-clear river pools and cycling along the Granite Way. There are wonderful places to eat and drink, cream teas in abundance and too many stunning country pubs. We were blessed with the weather which was a bonus. We will definitely be coming back to the Cow Shed and recommend it and the owners without hesitation.

Beautifully restored and tastefully decorated cottage which was so well equipped and spotlessly clean .The cottage was centrally located which enabled us to explore the northern and southern coastal regions. Such gracious and accommodating hosts -we loved staying here and will definitely return !
