  • Beautiful!

We have just had a lovely 4 night stay at this beautiful property. There were 7 of us and a dog and everything had been thought of to ensure we had brilliant time. Beatrice brought a warm Brioche and homemade jam and butter to greet us. The smell alone was wonderful. The underfloor heating was on which was great after taking off our boots on a late October evening and there was even a small jar of dog treats for our dog Maria and a welcoming play with the friendly black lab Maya who lives there. The whole place has been completed to a high standard but is also very practical. We enjoyed watching netflix on a huge TV in front of a real log fire while sipping chilled wine or cider. We roamed over fields and through woodland on lots of public footpaths and ventured down narrow country lanes to have a wonderful meal at the Plough - again recommended by Beatrice. Despite being in the middle of the countryside it does not take long to get to different towns and places of interest. However one slight challenge is finding Sittingbourne if you follow the road signs, as every road appears to lead to Sittingbourne but you never seem to get any closer!

  • Idyllic cottage set in majestic grounds, surrounded by rural splendour and glorious greenery.

A delightful gem of a place for those looking for a cosy home away from home that combines wonderful surroundings with easy access to supermarkets/towns a few miles up the road. The most amazing feature of this property is that it is set within very grand and lavish grounds. From the garden gate or a bedroom window you look out upon a large beautiful landscaped pond, complete with ducks coming and going. It really is magnificent. Add in the property owners own house, which is resplendent in its country cottage grandeur, as your backdrop and you feel like you've been invited to the set of a period drama. The cottage you stay in although small never feels cramped or uncomfortable. It instantly felt like a home and within an hour it was as though we'd always lived there. Clean, well furnished and easy to slip into an easy going alfresco dining lifestyle courtesy of the big outdoor table and BBQ. A stunning treat for nature and animal lovers is Buttercup Goats Sanctuary 10 minutes away. Here you are able to wander freely in a meadow with goats to your hearts content and when I say goats I mean LOTS of goats! It's an enchanting experience and you quickly find yourself wanting to sit lazily amidst the goats and stroke them all day. We visited twice and certain goats recognise you and follow you around. I would highly recommend this place for small families, romantic couples or perhaps just one person who wants to write a book, paint a picture or read that book they've been dying to find time to finish. Perhaps I am bias in that I adore rural places, wildlife, outdoor eating, majestic grounds, cottages and I am an artist by trade, so given to flights of fancy and romanticism. If the above me sounds like you then give this place a whirl.
