  • Quiet idyll for nature lovers

Compact and spotlessly clean, the Annex was our home from home for a week in the summer. Cathy was tremendously helpful, providing us with an extra heater to dry our things afer a particularly rainy day, and putting a wash on for us. We were also lucky enough to receive eggs from her own hens, which were delicious! The welcome pack was helpful and the Welsh cakes just the thing after a long journey. We slept very well in the comfy bed and enjoyed sitting in the garden with a cuppa watching the wildlife. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Fabulous house/location/holiday

When we arrived the house seemed to be waiting for us. We explored all the rooms and immediately felt at home, safe & relaxed. The property is simply gorgeous with everything you need and more. The view is utterly breathtaking and ever-changing moment to moment with the tides. Looking out over the estuary at the sand banks, sparkly water, bird life and the occasional little boat was spellbinding. Many happy hours were spent just relaxing and gazing out over that unique scenery that will remain a wistful memory forever. Lying in the comfy bed just before sleep listening to the sound of silence was wonderful. Waking up to the sunshine glistening on the water of the moving tide and hearing the birds fishing for their breakfast was such a pleasure. The house has gorgeous bedrooms and equally gorgeous bathrooms. The ground floor has a very well laid out kitchen, a huge walk in pantry and a laundry room. Every convenience you can think of is supplied. The living room is very comfortable and relaxing with lots of other rooms to spend time in so we all had our own space. I can't recommend this home highly enough, it has been a divine holiday.
