Great cottage in beautiful area

4 of 5
We stayed at the Garden Cottage for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed our break. Clean, comfortable and relaxing accommodation, with a beautiful view. Very comfy bed and loads of storage space in the bedroom. Good location - many National Trust and HHA places to visit. The local pub - literally around the corner - serves excellent food and drink. The local Indian takeaway is also very good. As a previous reviewer commented, the only minus is that the property is integral (although separate) from the owner's house and occasionally we could hear footsteps above. Also, it would have been nice to have been welcomed by the owner. All in all, a lovely place to stay, in an area which offers plenty to do.

Simply the Best - that's Tina's shed

5 of 5
10/10 - An exceptionally good place to stay and Tina and Jeremy are very good hosts. It's even better than the description. It's also a good base for a wide range of interests: gardens; posh houses; castles & cathedrals; beaches/coastal resorts; unspoilt towns; steam railways; outdoor pursuits; deserts! (Dungeness) and more. If you want to experience a pub that has remained largely unchanged for decades then try the Red Lion at Snargate. Alternatively, whereas pubs are closing in vast numbers new micro-pubs are springing up almost by the week, they started in Kent and there are lots of them.
