Great location for exploring North Norfolk

5 of 5
Bluebell Cottage is located in the pretty village of Langham, an ideal base for exploring the coast and countryside of North Norfolk. The village has a good pub serving interesting food. They offer a take away service too. The village doesn’t have a shop but there’s plenty of farm shops in neighbouring villages. Make sure to look inside Langham church. It’s full of history and very well preserved. Tourism guides will list the obvious attractions but lesser known gems include the fords and country lanes at Great Walsingham and Glandford, the self-service Dairy Shop at Binham selling raw milk and dairy products, the interesting country walk from Cley Spy across to the Bayfield estate taking in antiques at Bayfield Hall and cafe at Natural Surroundings. The views of Cley, Wiveton and Glandford villages from Wiveton Nature Reserve are spectacular. Holt is great for shopping, cafes and galleries. Artemis Cafe at Cley is one of the best for interesting food and views across to the marshes. Bluebell Cottage is surprisingly spacious and exceptionally well equipped. As with all old flint cottages in the area, the doorways are low so mind your head! Off road parking in the side garden is a bonus. The cottage has a homely feel and is lovely to come back to after a day’s sightseeing.
