Holiday accommodation in Branscombe, Devon

Branscombe's main industry is tourism and many visitors each year stay in self-catering accommodation, which is becoming ever more popular, especially Devon cottages. The main reason for this is that cottage holidays allows more freedom to explore the whole of the county without worrying about meal times.

There are two public houses close to Branscombe's holiday cottages, the Fountainhead in the hamlet of Street and the Mason's Arms, which is so named because of the stone quarrying that once took place in the neighbouring Beer stone caves. They sell award-winning ales from the local Branscombe Vale Brewery.

Lovely cottage. Very well presented and a surprising amount of space. Great location for town.

We stayed for 4 nights to visit the surrounding area including Exeter. The cottage is very close to the estuary and Topsham centre. Very peaceful too. The cottage is very well equipped and we got on alright with the AGA. We particularly loved the courtyard in the afternoons. We did a lot of walking, including into Exeter. Enjoyed local beer and restaurants. All was wonderful.

Our favourite place

Branscombe has been a part of our family for generations. It's such a privilege to be able to stay on the beach in a wonderful chalet. Everything we needed was in the chalet, the weather was fantastic. The service was excellent. I cannot fault anything.
