  • High spec house with awesome views
    5 of 5

We stayed for a week with a friend and her children so 3 adults and 4 children, but there would still have been plenty of room for a bigger group. All but 1 bedroom have fantastic views over the estuary. And the view from the patio is 180 panoramic. The house is a little out of the main village but only a 10 min walk, so away from traffic. Although Aberdovey lacks a big supermarket there are a couple of smaller ones which have all the essentials. There are plenty of attractions within a short to medium drive, but the beach in Aberdovey (5 mins walk) is lovely with lots of shells to collect. We also used the train to take a trip to Harlech, the station is literally at the end of the road. The house has obviously been recently decorated and kitted out to a very high, clean and modern standard. Despite Jennie being on holiday when we stayed she still remained in contact to answer any questions and help. The only thing we could have done with was a folder with instruction books, house info, local guidebooks etc, but that was something Jennie was about to sort out. Definately recommend staying here.

  • Nice apartment on the seafront
    5 of 5

We found the apartment to be as advertised: a 3rd floor apartment (stairs only) with two bedrooms. My wife and I stayed there for a week for a quiet vacation and had an very good time. Tywyn is a pretty good centre for visiting central Wales and there are also plenty of walks around the town if you don't want to drive. We were there in blackberry season and picked (and later cooked and ate!) about a kilo of blackberries on one walk. The narrow gauge railway is a big draw and we rode the rails a couple of times (we have family involved in running the railway) and also hiked up and around the track. There are shops about 10 minutes walk away, but Tywyn is not a major town so don't expect big shopping malls! The only other thing to mention about the apartment is that it is on the top floor and some of the roof beams get very close to your head at times if you are a tall person (like me). No real problem, but be careful! Overall a very good time and we would recommend this apartment to others.
