I am glad we chose Thorntree Lodge for our family holiday. Central to all the attractions of Bakewell, Matlock & Peak National Parks. The owners were friendly & helpful. The lodge itself was only a year old & we could not fault it for cleanliness & equipment provided.

This lovely cottage is kitted out perfectly for two guests and is a lovely place from which to relax and enjoy the local countryside! Trudie is an excellent host and her communication on the run up to the trip was very helpful. The local area is beautiful, we particularly enjoyed a walk round Chatsworth House and Gardens in the spectacular sunshine. Would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends looking to stay in the Peak District. A short drive away for dinner we found the Tickled Trout restaurant which was fantastic and well worth a visit too. More locally the Bulls Head was good for a drink in the beer garden and a quick meal.
