Fantastic Cottage in Great Location

5 of 5
We stayed for a week in the East Cottage and - with few reviews online - we did not know quite what to expect. However, the cottage was excellent - well decorated, very clean, all facilities, amazing views, etc. It had awards from Scottish Tourism and for eco-tourism (with solar panels out back). It was well located so treks to Ben Vrackie, Loch Tay, Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and Balmoral were all easily doable and the journeys back were through stunning scenery to the last. There were great local walks too. Turn right out of the drive and there was a pub / hotel 4mins drive, turn left and the same appeared after 7mins - we had lovely meals at both. A great holiday in a great cottage - would 100% recommend.

Lovely spacious cottage, private and great for dogs!

5 of 5
We stayed for the Easter weekend in Birnie Cottage. The cottage itself is very clean, with a great comfy bed and is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Having the real fire was a bonus, with logs and coal for guest use available as and when you need them. Aileen and Bob were very welcoming, we had scones on arrival and eggs from the hens, however despite the cottage being next to the owner’s house, it’s very private with a lovely huge enclosed garden not overlooked at all. If you have dogs it is a dream to be able to walk from the cottage straight into the woods and round the country lanes, doggy heaven! We would thoroughly recommend Birnie Cottage and hope to return for longer in the future!
