Excellent location. Well-equipped, spacious and quiet budget accomodation

We were 4 adults and 2 children, and the apartment size was ample with largish bedrooms and a living room with seating for 4 on sofas and at the dining table. With Russell Square tube station 5 minutes walk away and King's Cross / St. Pancras mainline station 10 minutes walk, this apartment is very convenient for public transport, including airports, and is only 20 minutes walk from the West End. Despite this, thanks to its position in a secluded mews, it is remarkably quiet for central London. Refuse collectors were the only disturbance, and as they came after 7 in the morning this was not an issue for us. There is a large shopping mall 10 minutes walk away, a fast-food establishment 2 minutes away and a welcoming pub - the Friend at Hand - 3 minutes away. A host of restaurants and further interesting pubs are within easy walking distance. The British Museum is just around the corner. The apartment is unusually well equipped, with all the usuals - except a dishwasher - but with additional nice touches such as umbrellas. WiFi is reliable if rather slow, and the TV / DVD player worked well; there was a small selection of DVDs and paperback books. Jan was a welcoming and responsive host. Do bear in mind that this is budget accommodation, and priced as such. The furnishings are basic and not new, but they are fit for purpose, and the beds are comfortable. Two bedrooms have windows facing the quiet road, and one only has a small skylight which could be an issue in very hot weather, though there are free-standing fans. Two bathrooms instead of the usual one was a big plus. The apartment is accessed by a steep and narrow staircase, quite tricky with heavy suitcases and certainly not suited for people with significant mobility issues.

Lovely apartment with plenty space

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment we booked the apartment for a weekend in London we wanted one with easy transport links - apartment had plenty room although the entrance does look a bit tired, but the apartment was fresh and clean - beds are very comfortable - it is however on the fourth floor and has a lot of stairs to climb
