  • Lovely Cottage

Thresher Cottage is a lovely barn conversion situated opposite the owner's house and it is on a working farm so there can be some noise. The open plan kitchen/living area are very well equipped and the underfloor heating meant that it was lovely and warm. There was plenty of room in the bedrooms and bathrooms and the beds were comfortable. There was no mobile phone signal but the wi-fi worked as did the TV. The views from the cottage were lovely as countryside in this area is beautiful and we only had to travel a few miles to go on walks from the villages of Glaisdale and Lealholme. The North Yorks Moors Centre at Danby is just up the road and is well worth a visit. Thank you Jane for making us so welcome and for the chocolate cake you provided on our arrival.

  • Wonderful property and ideally situated

We all had a fabulous time at the cottage. The owners are wonderful and provided everything for a great stay. We even had tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, milk, loo rolls and 6 eggs from the farm. Lovely flowers in the window and a great enclosed garden with table and chairs where we could play with the dogs. Fabulous coastal walks and cycling trail. There is a lovely walk to the local beach if you enjoy walking. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. I certainly hope to return to the area and would highly recommend this property. The alpacas are adorable. Thank you to our hosts Pauline and Bob.
