I was lucky enough to stay in a 5 bed Cliffside Villa at Soneva Kiri Resort with three of my best friends. After an energetic visit to Bangkok, the quiet bliss of Soneva Kiri was a dream of tranquility and peace. Nestled into the rainforest the charm of this resort lies not in the opulence of your regular high end resorts, it is understated elegance and the luxury is not only in the exquisite surroundings and being one with the rainforest and nature, but also in the incredible service of all of the staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. It is the little things that make the difference here. You are given a golf buggy to get around the resort and every morning it is turned around for you ready for you to take off on an adventure. The views from the yoga platform are the perfect start to any day and ensure you have a pure zen like state of mind. Having a person Friday makes al the difference, someone to answer any questions you have and help make any arrangements, it is truly like having an insider guide and they cannot be more pleasant. Soneva Kiri offers activities should you wish to indulge, from sailing, paddle boarding and scuba diving, but the beach is one of the best beaches you will ever have the pleasure to walk on. No pebbles, seaweed and few shells, its like walking on white flour and the water is clear and turquoise like a dream. The accommodations are all unique and offer various configurations. We stayed in a 5 bed villa and I was lucky enough to have the huge master suite. everything you could possibly want is at your finger tips and especially perfect are the outdoor showers at the end of a lazy day! I am desperate to go back to Soneva Kiri and hope to do so this year - the food choices and incredible cuisine are extensive and you will never be able to come close to experiencing all of the incredible food to taste. Do not miss the tree pod dining! My party booked this for Thanksgiving day and it is a memory that will stay with me forever dining swinging high in the middle of the rainforest. Soneva Kiri is a dream destination! and I cant wait to return....
