Things to do on holiday to Saviese

No matter the time of year that you choose to holiday to Saviese, there will be plenty to do. During the winter, head to the mountains for some of the best skiing in the world. Other snow activities, such as snowmobiling, are also available. When the weather warms up visitors to Saviese can partake in hiking, cycling, mountain climbing and even paragliding. While the closest beach is about 150 km away, there are a number of lakes where you can swim, canoe, fish and snorkel. Also consider spending an afternoon exploring some of the nearby wineries. Places to visit on holiday to Saviese

There are many wonderful attractions in and near Saviese including a number of interesting and important museums. The Fondation Gianadda features an amusingly eclectic collection of exhibits. Visitors can see vintage cars, fabulous paintings and important archaeological exhibits. Concerts are even held here on occasion.   Many visitors to Saviese also consider taking a daytrip to Zurich where they can visit additional attractions such as the Swiss National Museum and the Kunsthaus Zurich, which is home to medieval paintings and works by masters such as Monet, Chagall and Picasso.

Weather in Saviese

The summer weather in Saviese is comfortable and not too warm. The average summer high temperatures are between 23 and 25 degrees. It cools down a bit in the spring with average high temperatures of between 11 and 15 degrees. During the winter the average highs are between 4 and 6 degrees.  

Travel to Saviese  

The closest airport to Saviese is Sion Airport (SIK). This airport only offers very limited services and only at certain times of the year. For a well-serviced airport, travellers must fly into Geneva Cointrin Airport (GVA), located 150 km from Saviese. There is a railway station in Sion, just 15 km from Saviese. It is recommended that you have a car for use during your stay.

Lovely property with the best views in Nendaz

I took my family to this property and we really enjoyed staying here. We are fairly certain you won't get a better view anywhere in this valley. The sun also tracked the chalet from east to west so it was lovely to be able to enjoy the Balcony area too. The rooms are very clean and the chalet is well equipped. Access is hard for anybody who has walking difficulties or medical conditions because you do need to hike up a very steep path to get to the door. The only really negative comment is not to do with the property but more the description. This needs to clearly itemise all of the extras (electricity, bedding, towels, tax, extra credit card fees, logs). The lead in price is competitive but all the extras add up to a considerable amount so whilst we would return to this property we would not use the same booking platform. This is why we gave 4 and not 5 stars. Overall, a very enjoyable trip and we found the owner Wouter to be very responsive. Highly recommended,

A wonderful vacation in Leysin

My husband and I and our three children spent a wonderful time in Chalet Le Renard. Nick was very communicative from the first inquiry to the end of the trip. It is one of those places that raise the dilemma whether to just stay in the chalet since it is so cozy and specious or go explore out in the village/ the ski resort/ the mountains. The Chalet is well equipped and very comfortable. There are three bed room on the top flour, perhaps the room with the bunk beds is better for younger children although my teenagers managed all right. The view is spectacular and we were lucky to have three days of snow - which was very much appreciated. There are a couple of restaurants and a supermarket within a walking distance. We enjoyed cooking big meals as well. We highly recommend it !
