Great value, great location, great skiing.

Me and my son, had a great time at Roland’s apartment. Great value for money and with great facilities. Drove from the UK, found it easily and covered parking was a real bonus. I used to live in Switzerland, but this was the first visit to Flims-Laax and the drive up from the motorway into the mountains was easily one of the quickest and most direct I have ever done (great when you have been on the road for 12-hrs). Apartment is only about 10-minutes’ walk to the lift system base stations at Laax, and I have a 7-yrs old son who is not the quickest. If you want to take the bus, then the last bus stop before Talstation Laax, is only a 2 minute walk with a 1-minute bus ride. The apartment itself had everything we needed. We cooked for ourselves and there is a supermarket at the Coop Petrol Station, which is a 2 minute walk, which has most of what one could want. Failing that there is a larger supermarket at Talstation Laax. If you want to dine out then there is plenty of choice and variety in or around Talstation Laax. We used the swimming pool every day after skiing and it was very clean and modern. Didn’t get a chance to use the sauna, but I took a look and it appeared to be as you would expect. Apartment is on the 5th floor and has a good view of the mountains, so you can get a good idea of conditions before you leave in the morning. I myself have been skiing for years, but this was my son’s first time on snow (he had had a few dry slope lessons beforehand), so I chose Flims-Laax as the runs and terrain had something to offer both me and him. I put him in ski school for 3-days, 9.30-15.30, which he really enjoyed. We skied together on the last 2-days and it was amazing how much he had learnt. They did a great job. So, in summary the apartment was excellent for us, the location was ideal and Flims-Laax is a great place to ski whatever your ability. We have already rebooked with Roland for next year!
