  • Super Woche

  • Christmas and New Year of complete Swiss Bliss!

We spent two amazing weeks in this beautiful apartment in Nendaz. The check in process was very straighforward via Mira chalets and the apartment was easy to find with a parking space directly outside for our car plus a lockable garage. When we entered the chalet, we had a selection of welcome groceries including a bottle of champagne. The apartment had also been decorated for Christmas, which was a lovely touch! The apartment was tastefully decorated and had everything we could possibly need for a relaxing stay such as electric black out shutters, large DVD selection, fleece blankets and balconies from the each room with spectacular mountain views. We particularly enjoyed the steam shower after a long day on the slopes! Extra (luxury) blow up beds had also been made up so there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The apartment is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the telecabin lift which takes you up to Tracouet 2200m. You can purchase your lift pass from the telecabin. We only needed to buy a Printse pass, which meant we could also ski in Siviez (If you are planning to go to Verbier, you will require the 4 valleys pass but you can upgrade your Printse pass just for the day). The apartment building, had a boot room where you could store you skis and put on your ski boots before walking to the lift. We would recommend taking the free number 6 bus (from the telecabin) over to Siviez which has a nice long blue slope and another nursary slope. We hired our ski equipment and had skiing lessons with Neige Adventure and highly recommend their services. Over the two weeks, we were able to visit many of the local restaurants. Some of our favourites included, La Cabane and Les Etagnes (good value menu of the day). On Christmas day we booked into La Lanterne at Atmospehere. We had a fantastic three course set lunch with a great personal service from the owner, Alex. For apre-ski we would recommend the pop up igloo bar (situated next to the telecabin), the Edelweiss bar, which had good live music, and the cheers bar which is part of the Les Etagnes restaurant. The cactus bar is also lively a bit later on. You can easily access the whole resort via a fenicular lift that takes you from the telecabin to the bottom of the resort where you will find the Co-op, ice-rink, park and a small, free nursary slope for children. You will also find the Four Valleys Spa, which we would high recommend for an afternoon of relaxation!!
