  • A magical holiday for the family
    5 of 5

We had a truly wonderful holiday in Switzerland. The view from the chalet was even better than expected and the facilities were perfect for us. Our kids said that every time they looked out the window it was like seeing a screensaver. :-) Jeanine was also very quick to help us when we had questions. We spent 2 weeks in the area and used the chalet as a base. The guest card gave us acceas to ski lifts (which we used for hiking), pools (the best pool I have every seen in ilanz) and the swimming lake. A few points worth noting: - the bedrooms have shutters which were great in helping our kids sleep later. - the coffee machine uses the flatter nespresso pods (if you want to bring your own) - there are 113 steps, but we managed them fine. - Be brave and explore the area. we used the app Komoot to find hiking trails in the area (highly recommended). - the washing machine is in the basement. 😁

  • Comfortable, well equipped, spacious family apartment in great location

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious and comfortable apartment in Klosters. Our family group consisted of 7 adults and the 5 bedrooms meant that the singles and couples each had their own rooms. The 4 rooms at the back of the property in particular had wonderful mountain views. I would say that this is probably the best equipped rental that I have stayed at – it really was a home from home and made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. Even bathroom supplies were provided, hotel style, which was a very nice touch. The free wi-fi was also great for syncing our lovely photos to share! We had 2 hire cars and there was plenty of parking available in the summer. The centre of Klosters is easily reached within a 10-minute walk. The kitchen was fantastic and very well equipped and with the help of our local supermarket which was just a 2-minute walk away we ate in most days. Eating freshly baked bread again from the local supermarket in the morning on the balcony overlooking the mountains was a special moment each day! The lady who looks after the property in Klosters, Mitzi, was very friendly and helpful and pointed us in the direction of a local cycle hire shop and we had a great day cycling through the mountains. The river that runs through Klosters and passes just behind the property has a footpath / super cycle path for those not wishing for the exertion of a mountain cycle! A couple of suggestions for improvement. Switzerland is great for credit cards, so no actual money was needed for our whole stay until I had to get cash out to pay our host for the local tax/tourist cards. That said, I would add that these tourist cards were actually very good value as they offered free lift passes and much more in the Davos/Klosters region. Also, on a couple of days just having 2 front door keys was tricky for a group of adults who on occasions did different activities. Bedroom 5 would benefit from a chest of drawers as there was no furniture for storing clothes, etc – all the other bedrooms though had great storage. Finally, we left the property a couple of weeks ago in a clean and excellent condition and I am surprised by the amount of time taken (and still ongoing) to either acknowledge the condition of the property after our stay or to refund the deposit. All in all, we had a great time and would thoroughly recommend this lovely, well-equipped and spacious family home from home in a beautiful Swiss location.
