  • Lovely location, plenty of space

For the price and location, this was a really nice place to stay. I also appreciated the very reasonable cleaning costs as some other places sneak in massive additional charges. The peace and quiet was wonderful, the air clear and fresh and there's even a village spring just outside the front door. It's a tiny village. I think we could even hear a waterfall from the bedroom. Be aware that this is someone's home so is not empty like a holiday apartment, but there is plenty of space, nice clean towels and it is tidy. The road up to the village really is steep and with very sharp bends. My son got stressed out about it but the road is good, not busy and plenty wide enough. We were out a lot and it did take quite a lot of time going up and down but the view was wonderful. Nicholas was extremely helpful and attentive via email and text. It was easy to locate the key with his instructions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday staying in Donna's lovely apartment - the clouds did clear to give stunning views some days! New kitchen well equipped and easy to use - appreciated the bits left by previous guests (eggs, filter coffee, etc) for which the favour was returned for the next guests. Underground parking very convenient as are access arrangements. We found the Restaurant L'Alchimiste to be very friendly and willing to adjust to the vegetarian and vegan in our party, welcoming us back a second time. Trips to Glacier 3000, Martigny (good museum!) and Les Bains de Lavey all easily accessible. We would definitely return to the apartment (if available!) on a future Villars holiday. Thank you!
