The town of Baden is a very historic settlement which is located a mere 25 km north-west of the biggest city in Switzerland, Zurich. The town was actually connected to Zurich by way of the first rail link in the country and it was used by the aristocracy to travel to the world-famous mineral springs. Today, Baden has a population of over 18,000 inhabitants and it is still famous for its sulphur springs. There is a good choice of self catering accommodation in Baden and this will range in style and size to suit all tastes. All properties contain full kitchen facilities which, in turn, will allow you to save money in not having to eat out for every single meal.

Outside of the town, the countryside tempts many people into enjoying activities such as walking and rambling, cycling and mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking, painting and photography and fishing. There are also golf courses in the region, if you fancy a round or two whilst in the area and other sports facilities and swimming pools.

Great views, quiet and comfortable

4 of 5
The views from the 23rd floor are quite extraordinary and the Swiss countryside is beautiful. It is just 20 minutes from central Zurich from the train station nearby, so you can have the best of both worlds. The apartment is very modern, and has everything you need.

Great house, in good location with fantastic pool.

5 of 5
From the initial booking to the exit from the property the owners have been polite and helpful throughout, providing a lot of information which they obviously have prepared. The house was cleaned prior to arrival. The house is about 25 minutes from Zurich, located in an elevated position overlooking the town. It is in a group of houses of a similar standard and quality. Our party was 2 adults and 2 kids so plenty of room for us. Trying to drag the kids away from the pool to go out was the biggest task of the stay. The house has some lovely features, from the hot tub on the 1st floor deck to the open planned design throughout, but the pool was the main focus for us. We lived in it, although we were blessed with great weather all week. The living area /dining /kitchen all face on to the pool. So it became the focal area of our stay. The pool itself was of a similar depth from one end to the other, with an automatic cover for overnight. There is paving around it's edge set in a very well maintained garden with carefully thoughtout screening conifers for privacy. Definitely a return date for the future. We drove from Calais and roads were superb all the way and back and there is drive at the front of the property (also a garage, but not used) local shops etc. All very friendly. In summary, a great stay.
