  • Awesome for our Group of 15

We had 8 adults and 7 kids, ranging from 8 to 13) with us on this trip and the house is laid out so we never felt that there wasn’t enough room. The cook and housekeeper and groundskeeper were all super friendly, helpful and the food was delicious. It’s not easy to cook for 15 every day! The house was exactly as represented in the photos, the view was amazing, the pool was big and clean and the beds were comfortable. Soufriere itself is a little sketchy, we didn’t venture in too much with the exception of a daily trip to the grocery store for supplies. I’ve been a lot of places in the Caribbean, Soufriere wasn’t exactly run down but I would say it was the “wrong side of town” for many reasons, a lot of the inhabitants looked to be addicts. We wouldn’t want to go at night, put it that way, but we didn’t feel unsafe during the day. Sam was good at communicating our questions about the house. For the price, it can’t be beat!

  • 5 Star villa with 5 star service

Perfect spot to enjoy Marigot Bay. Beautiful villas with a picture postcard view of the Bay. The outdoor lift was a boon when returning from the beach, a restaurant or a day out, The swimming pool was small but perfect with a view down to the bay. The concierge service and thrice weekly housekeeping were perfect. Everyone on site was charming, friendly and super helpful. There is nothing you could fault. The villas are stylish and well furnished and the kitchen well equipped. It is like having a deluxe suite in a 5 star hotel but with the flexibility to eat in or eat out. We mixed it up a bit and ate out some days and ate a candle lit dinner on the spacious balcony overlooking the bay on other days. Marigot Bay offers a wide choice of dining options from simple and good value, like Hassy's on the dock - good music, good ribs, beer and cocktails to fine dining at the Grill at the 5 star Capella Hotel with lots of options in between. There is also a small but well stocked supermarket in the Bay. The villas have no car access but are easily reached by the ferry and Pirate's Bay restaurant includes a free ferry in the meal price. Hassy's, Root's & Doolittle's are on the same side as the villas. We hired a car to explore the island and parked in the free car park behind the police station. When we arrived we were met by Trevor who loaded the suitcases into a ferry and took us and the luggage to the villa.. When we left he collected the luggage from the villa at the time we arrange with guest service and took us back to the car. The beach is small but Ok and the Oasis Marigot provide sunbeds and beach towels for villa clients. The concierge services are on hand to arrange anything you want from boat trips, excursions, restaurant bookings and are happy to give advice and help as needed. A really helpful friendly team who welcome you to the island with affection. A perfect spot for a couple. Better than a hotel any day. Even if you don't want to cook it offers you more space and privacy than anything other than the top of the range suite a hotel offers. If you don't want to prepare breakfast, Doolittle's is just down the hill and you don't even need to walk, take the lift. A perfect holiday, can't wait to return.
