Make a holiday rental property or villa in St Lucia, Caribbean your home away from home

St Lucia is one of the Windward Islands in the centre of the Eastern Caribbean. It is a small, tropical treasure which is still largely off the tourist trail, with indescribably stunning peaks covered in thick rainforests, where exotic plants and animals thrive. Often referred to as the ‘Helen of the West Indies’ after the beauty of Helen of Troy, Britain and France went to war 14 times over this tiny island, which may hint at the staggering desirability of St Lucia.

Things to do on holiday in St Lucia, Caribbean

The glistening Caribbean Sea is host to a huge amount of activities and leisure opportunities. Sailors and fishermen who take a St Lucia property rental will be very hard to convince to leave the island again, as St Lucia offers some of the best sea fishing anywhere in the world, and every type of vessel is available for charter. There are several big game fish in the waters of St Lucia, including the ultimate trophy; white marlin. Aside from this, windsurfing, water skiing, para-sailing, banana boating and many other sports are available, but it would be insane to take self catering St Lucia accommodation without going snorkelling or scuba diving. St Lucia is home to some of the most diverse dive sites known in the Caribbean, which is not a small accolade. Whale and turtle watching excursions are hugely exciting too. Of course the beaches of St Lucia will take up a huge amount of your St Lucia holiday, and rightly so.

The interior of the island is covered in thick rain forest, where the St Lucia National Trust have created some magnificent walking, mountain biking and hiking trails, jeep safaris, quad tours and bird watching excursions to see the rare Jacquot parrot. Surprisingly, there are also three golf and spa centres in St Lucia, offering two excellent 18 hole golf courses and three picturesque 9 hole golf courses.

St Lucia has been inhabited for many years, and evidence of the islands long past can be seen in the fascination mosaic of ancient fortresses, open-air markets and tiny villages.

Weather in St Lucia, Caribbean

St Lucia benefits from an almost entirely uniform climate, so a St Lucia villa or holiday rental property is a magnificent choice all year round. Temperatures tend to be between 21°C and 32°C at any time of year, and the short rainy season lasts from June until November.

Flights to St Lucia, Caribbean

British Airways and Virgin Atlantic offer six flights a week from London Gatwick (LGW) and Manchester (MAN), with an extended number of flights in the summer schedule. These flights mean that St Lucia holiday accommodation is a viable option for a weeks holiday.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful

We had a lovely time at this apartment and its beautiful location. The apartment had everything we needed and was fantastic having the use of the Capella hotel next door. The staff are attentive, friendly and have so much time for you. The free food and drink samples were pretty amazing too! Could not fault the swim up bar at happy hour either! Oh and the staff foolishly left a group of us in the rum cave after hours! The apartment is situated in the most beautiful bay with a few selections of restaurants (which were all pretty pricey) we asked Cyrus to take us to the nearest big supermarket. Cyrus was fantastic, he waited whilst we shopped and offered to take us wherever we wanted. We were happy to relax so didn't need his services that much. The owner was good at responding to us as we went back and forth so many times with whether we needed an airport transfer or not! All in all a fantastic holiday and would love to return in the future. Will never get over such amazing views! Thank you for letting us stay in such a beautiful place

Spacious, clean and comfortable with fabulous views

We loved our stay at Brogan Villa. The villa itself is spacious and even though we were a party of 10, there was plenty of room for us all. The children loved the pool and the little bay nearby was convenient and secluded. Cyrus, Natalie and Nigel looked after us well - we couldn't have asked for more. The scenery in St Lucia is spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend a trip to Pigeon Island and an excursion on a catamaran around the island. Debbie was extremely helpful, answering all our questions promptly and honestly.
