Good basic apartment with pool in great location

4 of 5
Luis was very helpful in his communication before and during our stay. The apartment is nice, bright and comfortable. Neither of the showers worked well and the bathrooms could do with some modernisation. The pool was a bonus at the end of a long day of sightseeing and we used it every day and were usually the only ones in it.

Perfect for us

4 of 5
Perfect location for our group prioritising beach over city centre. Bogatell beach is quieter and cleaner than Barceloneta, and we were pleasantly surprised by what Do Poblenou offered. The flat itself is modern, simply decorated and has all the basics- it was clean and well situated. We got used to the 4 flights of stairs, and eventually got to grips with using the oven and hob (touch 'screen' type thing we couldn't get our heads around)! We did miss having a bog standard kettle- there was a coffee machine instant hot water thing that was temperamental and did half a cup at most at a time- we gave up on tea in the end. Air con and fans were great at keeping us cool too. There had been problems with a previous group and noise (police involved) which made us very conscious of making noise at night- we aren't party animal clubbers so we didn't struggle- worth knowing for other potential holiday makers that this property is in a residential area, and neighbours are working people who need a decent night's sleep! Overall, perfect for us and our holiday needs.
