Little Piece of Paradise!

5 of 5
We have just returned from 2 weeks at Casa Mininos and had the most wonderful time! We were a party of 10 and I was a little worried that we would be a bit on top of each other, but that was not the case at all, there was plenty of room. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you could need. The beds are very comfortable and the decor is lovely. The development itself is wonderful, the gardens are very well maintained and the pool area is great. The pool is huge! The underground parking is a great facility and the development feels very secure - all entry (foot/car) is by key fob. The property manager is also very helpful and easily contactable. There are a couple of small convenience stores in walking distance that have all the essentials, including fresh bread and deli counter and the supermarket in Zahara is small but well stocked and very convenient. There are several bars and restaurants in walking distance which are great for sundowners or when you don't fancy cooking! The beach is fabulous - great surf for the kids (& big kids!) and has a heavier sand that doesn't blow everywhere or get into everything. Zahara itself is a lovely town, loads of restaurants/bars and the town is buzzing and vibrant in the evenings/nights. We didn't venture far so can't say much about day trips etc but did head over to Valvaqueros (half an hour drive) for windsurfing which was amazing - there was kite surfing and paddle boarding on offer too but we did not try those.....next time! The atmosphere of the area is super chilled - not at all touristy or over developed - if you really want to switch off I can't think of anywhere better! We will be back! THANK YOU Nanette!

large and fabulous property for a big group

4 of 5
This is an lovely and quirky property for a big group - we were 14 (adult and children) - with one main apartment on the ground floor and several smaller apartments on the lower ground floor. Key for us, however was that the main kitchen and enormous kitchen table were plenty big enough for the entire group to have meals together. The children loved the natural pool, and ( we must admit) the sofa area with tv connected to various services came in very handy in the evenings as well as the chess board , and games. The kitchen was fantastically equipped and had loads of huge serving dishes and plenty of pans to satisfy the cooks amongst us. We also made good use of the Sonos system and the piano and hope the neighbours weren't too disturbed by the late night dancing!. All the rooms were nicely appointed and we were very comfortable and the grounds were lovely. The owners were very helpful in answering questions and immediately replaced a broken coffee machine. There is an excellent supermarket in Tarifa and a good deli very close the property for provisions and we used lots of herbs from the kitchen garden (and would have used the limes if they had been ripe!). The beach is a short walk away and very pretty with all the kite surfers doing their thing. Most of the group went on a day trip to Tangiers and had an excellent day with a local guide. Another lovely afternoon was spent in Cadiz. Altogether a relaxing and lovely stay.
