Late summer in Valle del Este

5 of 5
I visited the resort with a friend and it was a first visit for us both in Almeria. It is the authentic Spain. The golf resort is a good mix of ex-pats and Spanish, the hotel offers all facilities including a very large pool, spa, fabulous food and cocktails to top it. Garrucha, a working Spanish town is only a few miles down the road and is a busy busting fishing town with great restaurants and bars and 3 miles further you are in the most picturesque town of Mojacar (the Spanish equivalent of chocolate box) with dozens of restaurants, tapas bars, and ice parlours. The excellent road network allows you a smooth journey to and from the airport (a very small and friendly airport) as well as day trips to some of the surrounding towns and nature resort. Finally the apartment : Amazing location, overlooking a green, peaceful and quiet (great rest/ sleep) with a fabulous pool just 20 metres from the door, fully furnished with modern furniture and all necessary appliances. The care takers are friendly and helpful. Very spacious inside, a great balcony and a massive roof terrace. If you happen to be a golfer, this is a must visit place. In summary : I will be asking Linda and Ian to stay there again as it was a most enjoyable week.

Very impressed

Lovely restored farmhouse with great character and space, situated in remote and quiet village. Lovely outdoor area with plunge pool and upstairs terrace overlooking backdrop of rugged mountain views. Very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. Owners were extremely helpful and accommodating and made the accommodation feel home from home. They provided great directions and recommendations on places to visit. Car essential but worth the effort for such a jewel in a desert place. Would love to return some time!
