May is a great month for visiting Sineu as the temperatures are very pleasant and the Fair comes to town! Sineu fair is the oldest and most popular fair in Majorca and dates back to 1318 when King Sancho gave permission for the fair. Early visits are advisable to avoid the crush, and you can buy almost anything from handmade furniture and plant pots to vegetables, plants and pets!

It was restored in 1901 by Antoni Gaudi, the architect responsible for many of Barcelona’s wonderful buildings too.
The Old City of Palma is a maze of shady streets with tall shuttered apartments and decorative metalwork. The Arab Baths, once gorgeously designed with a cupola and marble pillars, are now somewhat neglected but the surrounding garden is filled with pretty flowers.
