This rental house in Punta Lara is lovely. It has a nice, well equipped kitchen, adjoining lounge, shower room off, leading out to a lovely sunny balcony with amazing panoramic views. Leading off from this is a spiral staircase to a fantastic, really big sun terrace, with loungers, table and chairs etc. The views up here are simply stunning!
Downstairs there are 2 nicely decorated bedrooms, a double, with a balcony and air con, and a single both with good wardrobe space. There's a family bathroom and the front entrance on this level. The house is spotless, as is bedding and towels including a couple of beach towels are provided.
The house is up a few streets up a hill, hence the view.
The pool is a street down the hill, with a snack bar, Down on the main road, at the Marinas Hotel, there's a small gift / grocery shop, and the bus stop into Nerja.
Nerja is lovely, and we went most days, by bus and usually taxi'd back. We felt with having kids, it was a bit too far to walk, especially at night, and the walk up to the house is a bit steep after a long day. There is a fantastic selection of shops, restaurants, views, beaches, and of course the Balcon de Europe. Lots of atmosphere at night, and plenty cafe's and little streets to wander round during the day too. We took a tourist train ride round the town one day.
We enjoyed a couple of the beaches, including Burriana, and loved them. The little coves and amazing cliffs and turquoise sea is beautiful.
We took a bus up to Frigiliana, up the mountain from Nerja, and spent a lovely day here (you get the bus from Nerja). Again, there are lovely cafe's, little streets and restaurants here, and a very interesting local history. We took another tourist train trip around.
The pool at Oasis Bar near the house was clean, supervised and had plenty seating areas and sunbeds and parasols for hire (cheap). We never ate here so can't comment on the bar.The food at the Punta Lara bar up the hill from the pool had very decent food.
The house and kitchen and balcony were so pleasant, we ate in a few lunch times and one evening. The balcony sees the sunrise and sunset and is so relaxing and quiet.
We had one or two small queries to ask of Ben the first day, and he responded and solved them very quickly, and during the holiday kindly enquired if the holiday was going ok, which was nice.
The only negatives, were there is no air con in the twin room, it was so hot, and no microwave (minor issue)
We hope to return!
