Excellent location for exploring the region, with terrific views in a great setting.

4 of 5
Spent 5 days in Casa de Limon late August. The house is in a small gated complex with a communal pool area. Plenty of on street parking close to the property. The house is dark - as are most Spanish properties to provide protection from the heat of the day. The upstairs balcony off the double bedroom is a sunny space to have breakfast and the downstairs seating and BBQ area gets the afternoon and evening sun. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The lounge area may prove a bit cosy for four adults, though the outside space compensates for this. The equipment for the outside space is excellent with a range of chairs and loungers in the storage area. The pool proved a godsend for cooling off and it was possible to find some shade if required. The pool area never felt crowded although not all properties were occupied during our stay. The air conditioning is efficient (and necessary) - we never did make use of the wood burner so cannot comment! Lots of interest in the local area and there is a lot of very useful information in the Casa provided by the owner. We had done some research before travelling but found the provided local knowledge to be invaluable. Montejaque itself is a manageable size with a couple of supermarkets and an excellent little Panaderia barely 5 minutes from the door. Several restaurants in the village too. We had an excellent tapas meal in the village square, La Cuesta is a nice space but the food was nothing special. As for getting about we can recommend Acinipo roman remains (no guide, no signage, no info but FREE). coupled with Setenil a village built into the rocks (park out of town and walk in, less stressful). Ronda is worth a visit - we drove in and parked underground not too expensive. We did one of the suggested White Villages tours - Owner's advice about Ubrique is spot on - if leather is your thing then go there otherwise there are better options, Benaocaz, El Bosque, Prado Del Rey, and (certainly) Grazalema which lends its' name to the National Park. The 'Little Beach In The Hills' is well worth the effort at Arroyomolinos. The last couple of km need you to hold your nerve and follow the signs, entry was 3.50 Euros each. (Take the beach chairs from the Casa). Plenty of shade and plenty of picnic benches, a small cafe bar and toilets. Good for swimming but ideal for young children too. Happy to recommend this for a couple or a family with young children

Beutiful Andalusian cottage. Friendly welcome

5 of 5
The cottage is a lovely simple design? ideal for people who love artistic surroundings. We thpught it very beautiful. There are incredible views and the country surrounding the cottage has a savage beauty that is hard to grow tired of. When swimming in the gorgeous pool we could see the ruins of Ronda la Vieja on the horizon. The Polins gave a very warm and friendly welcome and made our stay very special. They were helpful and provide answers to any questions we had. The olive groves that surround the cottage and the animals who come to greet you every time you come back give a flavour of the real countryside we were staying in. Fabulous
