-Beaches: The various communities in Pobles del Sud are close to some wonderful beaches. El Saler is a fabulous natural beach, backed by the Albufera Lagoon and set within its natural park. Here there’s a long stretch of pale, fine sand that shelves slowly out to sea, creating lots of shallow water, making it perfect for young children to paddle in.  

-Nature: The Albufera Natural Park centres on a freshwater lagoon, which is a key reserve for a wealth of birdlife and has long been a source of fish for the city of Valencia. El Saler and El Palmar are unique in that it’s possible to see the sunrise and sunset over the water in the same place, as the Albufera Lagoon is just a few hundred metres in from the Mediterranean sea.  

-Cuisine: A great deal of the landscape around Valencia is allocated for rice production, so it follows that many of the favourite local dishes should draw on this product. Paella is one that everyone knows, and here it tends to be cooked with meat like pork and rabbit, although the seafood variety is also available. Arròs negre is a seafood rice dish with squid, and fideuà is noodles cooked with squid.  

-Attractions: Entertaining and educational days out can be had at the spectacular City of Arts and Science in Valencia. This is a large series of structures that looks like something from a science fiction movie. Inside there are attractions that appeal to all ages, from an interactive science museum and aquarium, to a state-of-the-art performance venue and IMAX cinema.  

-Culture: The historic centre of the city is full of life and inhabited by young and progressive people who have set up stylish shops and cafés. The Barri del Carme is where the narrow streets and high townhouses typical of a Mediterranean city can be found. Dazzling landmarks to seek out include the UNESCO-listed Gothic Silk Exchange, the modernist central market and Valencia’s Cathedral, which melds neo-classical, Baroque and Renaissance architecture.  

Weather in Pobles del Sud

Pobles del Sud holiday homes are in a part of the country where subtropical and Mediterranean climates converge. The weather in Valencia is either warm or mild, and there’s almost never cold weather. May through October is summer, when there are long, unbroken sunny spells and temperatures that soar to 30°C in July. Rain is practically unheard of in summer, but the last three months of the year are a little damper. By November, daily highs have slipped back to 20°C and there are around five rainy days in this month. The coolest month of the year is January, which still manages daily highs of 16°C.

Travel to Pobles del Sud

Pobles del Sud self-catering holiday rentals are in locations between 15 and 20 kilometres from Valencia Airport (VLC), which has a number of flight connections to the UK via budget carriers. By car, Pobles del Sud is an easy drive along the V-30, and then visitors heading for Pinedo, El Saler, El Palmar and El Perellonet can take the CV-500, which cuts through the beautiful Albufera Natural Park. Valencia is also a city with AVE high-speed train links to a number of other Spanish destinations; it’s possible to get here from Madrid in just 90 minutes.

Exactly what it says on the tin

We had an excellent time, beautiful views (especially the sunrise, don't miss it). A car is very good but there is a bus service although I cannot say how good it is. The apartment was very clean with plenty of everything (towels etc.) Well appointed kitchen with even a dish washer. Bedrooms very nice with good storage. Good internet access. A nice comfortable living room to sit at night and relax. The owner was very nice and helpful about anything required. Overall, a very nice time and I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone.

Perfect for our golf trip

Perfect accommodation for our stay while we golfed at El Saler. 2 min walk to the beach, the apartment had everything we needed. Will definetly stay again if I'm in the area. Adriana was great for communications too. Thank you
