Rustic charm in the heart of Andalusia... a great place to relax and unwind. A well equipped kitchen (cooks delight!) and lots of great outdoor space. Fab interior of Moorish decor and a sprinkle of pure magic. Welcoming and friendly village community a real bonus! Fantastic location with super motorway for fast access to Malaga airport, beaches and Granada. A must for those who seek authentic Spanish experience...a special place to be ....a hidden gem...thanks again Gigi :)
My wife and I spent 3 nights here - if only we could have stayed longer! Everything went smoothly prior to arrival. We found the owner to be very responsive and helpful with emailed communications and we were sent detailed directions and useful information about the village and surrounding area shortly after booking. On arrival day we found the property easily and the keyholder (who conveniently lives next door!) was very welcoming despite the language barrier (unfortunately our Spanish is practically non-existent). She gave us a tour of the house - we can definitely say that the photos do not do it justice! In the information about the house the owner said that it was fully renovated from being derelict - they did a great job and it looks amazing! The house is well equipped, with everything we would have needed for a longer stay than just the 3 nights. The view from the roof terrace is stunning and was where we spent most of our time - it was peaceful and had a refreshing breeze even in the hot sun. When we did venture out we visited supermarkets/restaurants that were recommended in the house book and even managed a walk down to the lake thanks to the aforementioned book. Unfortunately the local bar/restaurant (Los Naranjos) was closed for holidays (everyone needs one at some point!) but this didn't detract from our stay at all as the neighbouring villages had plenty of places to eat/drink. Plus it gave us more of an opportunity to enjoy a drink or 2 on the terrace! We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely house to anyone who is thinking about visiting the area and we will definitely be looking to return, hopefully for a bit longer next time to really unwind!
