Clean, airy and well maintained. Love pool and garden.

5 of 5
Had a lovely stay at this property. A great location to explore the North Spain coast with some lovely coastal towns and villages near by. Located in a small village itself a short drive from the beach and mountains. The property is well maintained and was spotless when we arrived. The pool, BBQ area and garden are well kept and perfect for families. The village itself is quiet with a small shop / bar / restaurant at the end of the road that is well worth visiting. You can visit and book a table for the next day and they will cook some local dishes. We had a lovely time based at this villa and found the area very relaxing. Llastres and Llanes are well worth a visit. Javier was a very good host and answered any questions we had. His mum and dad let us into the property and came midweek to clean the pool. The pool was ideal for all of us to relax and have fun in.

Beautifully appointed

This is a lovely house which has been beautifully and lovingly restored within a charming village on the road to the famous Rodiles beach. This was our first visit to Asturias and it is easy to see why, during the early part of the 20th Century, the coastal resorts were so popular with the wealthy Spanish escaping from the heat of Madrid. The beaches are gorgeous and unspoilt, the countryside green and reminiscent of Devon, and the stunning backdrop of the mountains mean it has something for everyone. The house has everything you need and all the equipment is of top quality. Everything works well and the shower in particular is fantastic. The village has a couple of shops, a restaurant and a bar which does great food, all within walking distance. Claire met us on arrival and showed us round the house. She is rightly proud of it. She lives nearby and said she was available if we had any problems but she also left us to enjoy our holiday in complete privacy. The only drawback for us was that we get up at different times and as the open staircase up to the bedroom comes straight from the living room it was tricky for the early riser to make coffee without disturbing the one who was still sleeping, but if you are a couple whose habits are more similar this won't be an issue! A lovely place and highly recommended.
