Luxurious villa with rustic charm & beautiful area

5 of 5
Coming from the hustle and bustle of a busy city like Hanoi in Vietnam, the contrast couldn't have been more stark. And more welcome. The villa is located at the top of a hill overlooking the whole village with some amazing views and being at the edge of a forest, my wife and I felt ever so much closer to nature. It was the perfect place for us to completely relax and unwind. The villa is full of character with a great open-planned kitchen and living room downstairs and a luxurious bedroom with balcony and bathroom that make you feel like royalty. I loved that combination of luxury combined with the rustic stonework of the interior. The garden is dreamy with a good-sized swimming pool and grass beneath your feet (you don’t get grass like that in Vietnam!). And no better place to spend the evening having dinner than on the patio and taking in the stunning view before the sun sets. It’s quite a steep little walk up the hill to the villa which was quite a challenge on the bike to conquer (I always lost!). The surrounding area is fantastic for cycling with a rather delightful back road to the nearby town and, feeling more ambitious, a great ride over the impressive curved bridge connecting the village with the road to Noia. Noia is a good-sized town, rather picturesque too – one of my favourite-ever squares there. We had fabulous sunny weather so spent a good deal of our time at one of the nearby beaches. White sands, pristine clean though the sea was a little chilly. Only downside to our whole stay was when we had to leave. Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts Rupert and Maria for the holiday of a lifetime.

A relaxing, refreshing revitalising holiday!

5 of 5
We have been to the South of Spain many times with our family and this was our first time to the North of Spain and in Galicia - and what a pleasant surprise it was. Firstly I must say what a wonderful holiday house the owners have made at Casa Piloto - it is enormous but cozy with breath-taking views. You can see the passion the owners have put into the renovation -we loved staying here - it felt like our own home from home. Just lovely. We even used the pool in June and were blessed with great weather. But it is the beaches in Galicia that amazed me the most - such white sands, so empty, such a beautiful coastline. It was undoubtedly the most relaxing, refreshing revitalising holiday that I can remember. We will be back!

Beautiful house in a stunning location

5 of 5
Beatriz and Ramon's house is a beautifully designed structure with lots of space, facilities and fabulous views. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and exploring the surrounding villages and landscape. Gorgeous beaches are within a short drive away as well as some beautiful fishing villages where you can sample the wonderful Galician seafood. The house was very comfortable and the owners very helpful in making sure we had all we needed. We would love to come back and enjoy the house and the surrounding area all over again. Gracias por todo!
