                                                  Brilliant holiday at Jose's villa.

                                                  5 of 5
An excellent villa with everything you could need. Jose is a very attentive person and very helpful should you have any problems. eg, he printed out tickets for us for the water park. He came around every other day to water his many plant pots and to empty the rubbish and recycling bin; a vital necessity in the very hot Spanish summer. He also attends to the pool at the same time. The whole villa is a large property, but the part you will rent is the top floor. It seems the the ground floor is not used during the letting season. Don't be concerned by this. The property rooms and facilities are exactly as illustrated in the photos and are ideal for a group of 6 people. Two of the bedrooms and the living room are air-conditioned- a godsend during considering the temperature when we were there peaked at 44C in the shade!! There are several good supermarkets in the local village of Marchena, open till late in the evenings. Also Puebla de Cazalla has a fair variety of shops and some good butchers. It also has a first class restaurant "El Jardal" which seems only to be open from 21:30 till midnight on Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sundays. But well worth a visit. If you are considering renting Jose's villa then do not hesitate or you may miss the opportunity. Thanks Jose. Bryn and family.

Estepa is a little gem of a town both to relax in and to use as a base to explore Granada, Seville, Cordoba. You will need a car but the aforementioned places can be reached by train - there are 2 stations fairly close by and cars can be left overnight. The house was perfect for us - an original Spanish townhouse that had been carefully restored and modernised. Everything we required was provided for, the house was spotless and we received a warm welcome from Ian and Norma on arriving plus a great welcome pack including wine and beer! The town has a vast array of tapas bars and restaurants and we could easily have eaten at a different place every evening. If you are looking for English food Estepa isn't the place to come to. We walked nearly every morning - it was too hot at any other time - and there are no shortage of walks to follow and things to see. Jono, thank you for all your help including very clear directions on how to reach the house - we will be back!

We really appreciated the place since it was quite central for the visits we had planned (Ronda, Cordoba and Seville). It is a lovely, genuine and very clean house quite easy to heat with the electric heaters and the gas stoves. However we were slightly disturbed by the noise from the street since the windows are only single-glazed windows. Andrea helped us a lot before we left with directions and was always very quick to answer our questions. Then Norma who lives in Rubio was also very helpful. We really appreciated the welcome basket. All the shops and restaurants are within easy reach. It is an ideal place to discover Osuna which although it is not in the travelling books is really worth a visit. The TV channels are only in English. It would have been nice to watch and listen to some Spanish ones so as to enjoy a total immersion in the language. Thank you very much. We would like to come back but in autumn or spring since we really missed the sun. Corinne, Alain, Camille, Elise et Arthur
