Clean, comfortable and good location

We have stayed in Nueva Nerja previously but it was our first time to stay in Sarah-Jane's house which is situated in a lovely quiet courtyard in this development. There are 2 pools - a very small one a minutes walk from the house (I love this pool) and a larger pool just across the road which my boys loved. The shop next door stocks almost everything you could need and is open for about 16 hours each day. The Villa Flamenca Hotel is across the road but non-residents are not allowed to use any of the facilities (pool, bar or restaurant) during the day but we did have a drink there late one night. The house itself is clean and comfortable and well-equipped. We had a problem with the plumbing on Day 2 but Sarah-Jane organised a plumber to call that evening and he dealt with the problem quickly. We were more than satisfied with the reaction to the problem. Sarah-Jane had advised us not to grant entry to anybody claiming to be a cleaner and we were glad that she had told us this as the family in the adjoining house were not told this and were robbed by a bogus cleaner whilst they were in the house. Burriana Beach is fantastic with a huge range of places to eat and drink - its less than a 10 minute walk from the house but beware the very steep hill on the way back. The Balcon and town centre are about a 15 minute stroll away and is a bustling, friendly place with a huge range of restaurants. The Wi-Fi in the house is a bit slow but we found it reliable. The only disadvantage was that there is no air-conditioning in the house. The bedrooms and living area do have fans but it was very hot at night. Would we recommend - definitely yes. Would we return - definitely yes but not in July or August.
