  • A wonderful place to get away from it all

We had a fantastic time staying in this lovely villa (myself, husband and two teenage boys). We were absolutely bowled over by the scenery in the Sil River Canyon and the house is very well positioned to explore the area - and there is a view of the canyon from the end of the garden. The house was comfortable and well equipped and the pool was an added bonus in the heat. This is a very unspoilt and quiet area so you wake up to the sound of cattle bells in the morning and not much else - pretty idyllic if that’s what you’re after. The house is at the end of a track and while there is one other house nearby and some outbuildings, it feels very undisturbed. We used the outdoor kitchen and barbecue most evenings which was great. The roads are fairly hair-raising in places so be prepared for some white-knuckle but spectacular drives. We would thoroughly recommend Rosa’s villa to anyone wanting to explore the beautiful Ribeira Sacra.

Great place to stay if you're looking for a quiet holiday. La Casita was a comfortable well equipped cottage and Penelope is a very nice English lady who is always eager to make your stay as hassle free as possible. We would highly recommend this place to anyone, we had a great holiday, very relaxing. Galicia is very beautiful and thankfully untouched by mass tourism. Thank you Penelope xx Paul and Gina Dorchester UK.
