Our recent visit to villa La Alondra for our mother's 60th bithday was everything we had wished for and more. The property is as lovely as the online listing shows with a certain charm and character retained in its features, fixtures and fittings. There is ample living space and bedrooms which are all spacious and clean, also the kitchen(s) are very well equipped. The selection of outside seating and dining areas are perfect to enjoy the 360 degree panoramic views of near by Mijas, Fuengirola and mediterranean sea. The pool area is just fantastic for having fun with family and friends which we done for hours. Local amenities and transport links are reasonably close by 10 min walk or taxi but you feel like you are in your own secluded hideaway. We will more than likely visit again in the future and would definately recommend to anyome looking for a family and friends get away. Kind regards Richard Cook and Family.

  • Perfect!

We were a family of 5 - 3 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 7. This beautiful villa was perfect for us! It was just lovely and had everything we needed and more. It was spotlessly clean, with all the basics you needed, including fluffy bathroom towels and a basketful of soft beach towels for around the pool. The layout of the villa is just right - all open plan, so that when you are in the kitchen, you can still see out into the pool area and you don't feel at all cut off. The pool sits in a tranquil garden - we arranged to have it heated and it felt just right. My 12 year old son absolutely loved the hammock and spent a fair amount of time in there, if he wasn't in the pool! The seating outside the villa is plentiful - with comfortable dining chairs if you want to eat in the evening, and another one for lunchtime. We loved the comfy chairs outside the lounge area for our morning and afternoon tea! Lots of sunlounges .. all in full working order and comfy! The walk to the beach is really pleasant - we spent 2 days on the beach, lots going on and plenty of sun loungers to choose from at a small cost. We enjoyed walking to the Port in the evenings, and enjoyed meals at Hermosa, and Alberto's. We didn't hire a car, but we used 'Marbella Shuttles' who were very helpful and extremely reliable and took us to where we wanted to go on our evenings out. Bernie was a pleasure to deal with right from early booking stage - and Lesley who is the contact in Spain is also delightful, she reassured us she'd be on end of the phone if we ever needed anything. There is an info book in the villa, full of useful information, which was great. We have spent years renting villas and quite often, you don't have any info! The decor is beautiful and I think Bernie has thought of everything! As a family, we couldn't recommend this villa enough, and we will definately be returning!
