There are many small Spanish towns in the province with wonderful Renaissance palaces and historic churches grouped around the town square. This area leads in the production of olives and olive oil. Orchards of these wizened trees can be seen dotted about the hillsides, and local olive oil makes a great souvenir or gift. Enjoy exploring this lovely area from your Jaen province villa.

Alcala is located between Cordoba and Granada and has an impressive fortress dating back to 727. Tranquil break

5 of 5
We had a fantastic stay- what a find. The villa is in a beautiful setting with views that are stunning. It is quiet and peaceful and the perfect place to relax, away from the maddening crowds. The villa itself is well laid out and spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Maybe, just a few more utensils in the kitchen- especially as you cannot use the BBQ in the summer months! The cave was a lovely unique house and was extremely cool in the evenings for sleeping, without the need for a fan. The pool was the perfect size for our 7 year old daughter to learn to swim in, and kept clean and regularly checked by Dale next door. We have thoroughly enjoyed this part of Spain, the flights to granada with easy jet were straight forward and the journey to the villa is easy. Granada itself is a fantastic city, with moorish buildings, churches, cobbled streets and plenty of good tapas bars. Carzola was worth a visit, and we also enjoyed a horse riding session which dale next door organised for us. We mostly enjoyed lazy days around the pool, relaxing under the veranda and soaking up 'real spain' Having stayed in many villas over the years, I would recommend this villa to families and couples who are looking for a peaceful retreat. The photos are true to the actual villa and the views are even more stunning in reality. Thank you to Debra for letting us stay in her gem of a villa.
