Very nice apartment and great landlady

We just spent 2 1/2 weeks in this apartment in Mar de Cristal. The contact with the owner was nice and the booking went smooth and to our full satisfaction. We felt like home the moment we came into this lovely apartment! The floor plan is practical and the rooms are spacious and very nicely furnished and decorated. When you come into this apartment you don't feel like in a typical vacation rental property with standard furniture and accessories - it feels like an apartment which is someone's home. Inside the flat you will find everything you need for your vacation - no matter if it comes to bedding, towels, blankets, kitchen utensils... there is nothing you won't find. The apartment has a very nice balcony with a table and chairs to sit and have dinner or just a nice drink to watch the sunset. The absolute highlight of this flat is the roof terrace! This terrace is very large and has a roofed sitting area, grill with all necessary utensils and various deck chairs and sun loungers. From this terrace we had a beautiful view of Mar Menor and the surrounding area. We spent time in a lot of vacation homes in 40 years of travel... but this apartment was the best we ever rented and we recommend it unresented! Thank you, Tina.

very relaxing holiday

12/01/2018 Me, my daughter-in-law with 8 months old grand-son and neice have just returned from a week's holiday in Murcia staying in Mar de Cristal at this property. The property was clean, and very well presented, the general feel was homely and not that of a holiday let. We arrived on the 3 Kings holiday week-end so all the shops in the Los Belones the closest town as well as the local supermarket were closed. This did not affect us since Peter and Ann (the lovely couple who take care of the property) provided basic provision to last us the week-end. The cafe Arena was opened and we spent several evenings down there enjoying tapas ans sangeria. Peter and Ann really helped to make our stay pleasurable by providing us with transportation and being our tour guide which we greatly appreciated and, dare I say at a fraction of the cost the local taxis would have charged. None of us are drivers, and without a car getting around will be very restricted. The walk out to Los Belones took us 30 minutes pushing a buggy, the fact that there are no pedestrianised foot paths and its along a busy dual carriage way does not make for an enjoyable relaxing walk. However once we got there, we were rewarded with a good selection of cafes, restaurants, bars and stores to have a browse. I would strongly recommend a day visit to Cabo de Palos and Cartengena, since we visited out off season there was nothing to happening in Mar de Cristal since the area was virtually uninhabited, so ability to travel out was essential. My niece was able to buy a day pass to use the swim pool and spa at the La Manga golf club and had a most pleasing day experience. In terms of value for money and restful place to be this property tick all the boxes, however having transportation is essential. Dawn and family
