  • A good villa

Villa was clean upon arrival, and check-in easy. However some of the rooms did not have any blinds at all, which made sleeping difficult. The local beaches are lovely, but be aware that a taxi into Barcelona will cost you around 40 euros

Thank God for Google translate. Not being able to speak Spanish or French was a small problem especially when the person opening for us spoke no English. The apartment is compact, clean and tidy. Six adults could find space a problem but we just about managed with four plus two children. The pool is a God send. It's very clean and wonderful to jump in at the end of a 'sticky hot' afternoon. Yes we did !! Air conditioning is only one unit in the main living area - so nights are 'sticky' as well. This means to get a draught you open the terrace doors inviting the local biting insect population in for a meal. Eating on the balcony / terrace is lovely at night. Not much info either on the local web-site or in the apartment. We stayed for 7 days and found our way around another seven and we would have known even more. The L94 bus stop is over the bridge and down one block. This is essential for getting into Barcelona itself (and yes you need to go) - takes about 35 minutes directly into city centre. Cost approx. £2 per person. Local gas station has small selection of food and patisserie is also just over the bridge. Larger supermarket is about 15 mins walk away. Beach is indeed 10 minutes away over the bridge and along the promanade there are some nice eating places. Value for money. Yes think it's worth it - but if you are hoping for 5* then it's not.
