If you're looking for a concrete jungle with high-rise blocks and multi-million pound yachts tied up outside then this is not the place for you. On the other hand, if you want to sample real coastal Spain which is visited by real Spanish people then read on. The flat has been recently renovated to a high standard throughout. The kitchen is well-equipped and stocked with basic items like herbs and spices. Adriana, the owner, kindly left us some food items to get us started. There were also some other thoughtfully-placed items like a first aid kit with medicines, a small tool kit and beach furniture. The Wi-Fi was rock-solid with a download speed of about 16Mbps. The balcony attracts the morning sun so is ideal for taking breakfast. By early/mid-afternoon the sun has moved away so provides a welcome retreat from the direct heat but is still pleasantly warm for enjoying dinner in the evening. The flat is about 50m from the fine sandy beach which is spotlessly clean and certainly not overcrowded. There are 5 or 6 restaurants within easy walking distance, a pharmacy, a small supermarket and the obligatory tobacconists for buying bus tickets. There is a frequent bus service to and from Valencia at a giveaway price so a car isn't essential. There is a larger supermarket about 4km away and a Carrefour and Lidl at Cullera, about 17km away. We found El Perellonet to be a quiet place at the end of August/beginning of September and was perfect for a relaxing break. In the 10 days we spent there, we didn't encounter a single Brit, which was good! It's definitely on our list of places to visit again.

Brilliant view from the apartment & very comfortable. Many thanks to Mrs Rafael who picked us up from the city after being let down by the car hire.
