We had a lovely week staying in Carnota. The casa was located in a very quiet hamlet close to Carnota with easy access to stunning beaches, shopping facilities in Carnota village and the beautiful fishing town of Muros. Everybody we met were friendly and helpful, and although our Galician isn't good we managed to muddle through very adequately with our Spanish. The casa was clean and comfortable and had plenty of useful information about things to do in the area. Its downside - a bit lacking with regard to kitchen facilities (chopping boards, good knives, paellera etc) but then again we enjoy cooking lots of Spanish food when we are away so like to have a well equipped kitchen. Don't expect big supermarkets or a wide choice of restaurants and bars but do come for amazing beaches, lovely walking in the hills, great seafood and Albarino wine and very friendly and warm people! We would definitely come back so thank you Victor!

We have just spent 10 days at "casa da alegría. The house is very nice and well equipped and it is in a very quiet area. José and family are really nice and helpful. Baio, the village where the house is, doesn't have much to see but it has two supermarkets and it is very close to all the wonderful things/beaches to see in "Costa da Morte", for example, Laxe's beautiful beach is only 11km away. Very recommended.
