Lovely Place

5 of 5
Beautiful place for four. Just spent 10 days there and - although the weather was atrocious (according to the papers the worst in 25 years) - being able to stay in this clean, very well equipped and lovely house made the weather seem quite irrelevant. Highly recommended. I'd go back any day

Un superbe séjour en famille

5 of 5

The property is situated on a hill above Deia and offers stunning views, especially from the terrace

The 2-week stay at the beginning of September 2016 was excellent in every way. The owners were very easy to deal with, comunicated promptly and offered full and helpful information. The feeling was that, in the event of a problem (which didn't arise!), there would be someone ready to help. The property is very comfortable, clean, attractive, full of beautiful objects and interesting books. It gives the feeling of a home and not just a standard holiday acccommodation. There are superb views over the town and the sea from every room, but the most spectacular are from the roof terrace, with the rocky Tramuntana mountains rising just behind the house. Caveat: the access to the property is by steep stone steps and the house is on four floors, all accessed by stairs. Deia itself is hilly and steep in places. However, this is not a problem for those who enjoy exercise and the bonus is the enhanced fitness and no weight gain worries, even after 2 weeks of sampling delicious restaurants. The holiday was relaxing, enjoyable and interesting, only spoilt by the presence of stinging jelly fish on some (not all) days, which made swimming in the stunning Cala Deia hazardous. This jelly fish are present throughout the Mediterranean and it's just a random event that can happen anywhere. I would recommend this house and the location without any reservation.
