  • Fourth time at casalita and it never disappoints! We adore this villa!

We can’t get enough of this marvellous hide away. Nestled between the mountains and the beach amongst the orange groves, Casalita offers everything a family or a group of friends could want for. The setting is perfect, if it’s chilling at the house and enjoying the pool, this is the place! If there are youngsters in your group seeking a night out on the town, it is all possible: beach, bars and club are walking distance from the villa. I would highly recommend Casalita to any family, it is a hidden gem and with its’ sparkling host David, it’s a no brainer! David has provided numerous paella and been very flexible with us in the past. On our first visit- just after Barcelona, our car broke down. David kindly waited up for us until midnight, greeted us with a friendly smile, oodles of wine and a meal! That won us over and we haven’t stopped coming back! He has made so many improvements to Casalita, we’re constantly amazed and impressed by our ever expanding, luxurious second home! It is simply marvellous!

  • Superb views, gorgeous apartment, wonderful location

This apartment was so much more than we expected. We were a group of parents, teenagers and grandparents (6) and the apartment was the perfect size. We were worried about the lack of air conditioning, but as you can open all the balcony doors we could get relief, and there were fans in all bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped but the best thing for us was the terrace - very large with a useful covering to help us hide from the sun when needed (pale Scottish skin!). The views from the apartment were stunning - overlooking the sea with a view to Cullera town and even further south. The apartment is pretty much right in the beach and there were seats, a parasol and beach mats in the apartment which we could use. To get into Cullera town the bus stop is 5 mins walk away (every 30 mins but I wouldn’t rely on them coming on time). There are a few restaurants close to the apartment and more in Cullera town. I would definitely visit the Castle. We didn’t have a car so made use of public transport a lot. €1.35 for a bus journey no matter the distance. There are a few shops close by but a Consum supermarket 3 stops away on the bus towards the town. The restaurants were good for Tapas and Paella and although we didn’t speak Spanish we got by and found all the locals happy to help us. We visited Valencia 3 times. Got the bus to the train station (approx 30 mins) then a train to Valencia Nord (35 mins). Beautiful city!! We used the Bus Turistic, visited Hemispheric and Oceanographic and Mestalla Football Stadium. If you’re looking for a beautiful apartment, don’t want to be in a area with lots of British holidaymakers but mainly Spanish then this would be a good choice. If you love beaches then there are plenty to choose from. A car would be good, I think, to explore the Albufera region, but parking seems to be pretty busy around the apartment, especially at the weekends. The manager, Tere, was there when needed and we could contact her at any time.
