Capistrano Oasis is a delightfully ‘green’ urbanisation on the outskirts of Nerja Town, with extensive, sub-tropical gardens throughout. Build to a traditional Andalucian design, and with luxury and comfort clearly in mind, Capistrano Oasis is a magnificent place to relax in the Mediterranean sun, close to the famous beaches of the Costa del Sol, yet miles from its infamous crowds.
Capistrano Oasis is fantastically suited to family holidays. Every facility you could need during your well deserved holidays is present, and the proximity of the beaches and leisure facilities of Nerja are bound to delight any children in your party, no matter their age! Within the Capistrano Oasis development are two communal swimming pools, children’s pool, plentiful gardens and park areas, two restaurants and bars, as well as a bus stop right on the front gate if you do require a lift into Nerja, just a kilometre down the road, and easily accessible on foot.
However, spending all your time within the boundaries of Capistrano Oasis would be a waste of the breathtaking landscapes of Malaga Province. The famous golden sands of Burriana Beach are just over a kilometre from a self catering Capistrano Oasis holiday villa, reached via a lovely walk through a tree lined avenue. You can be stretching out your towel just 10 minutes from leaving your front door, and once on the beach, there really is no reason to leave! This is the most famous beach in the Nerja area, lined by fantastic restaurants and bars, and with every water sport facility you could possibly require. However, for completely lazy days in the sun, Burriana Beach excels at those too!
The mountains of the Sierra Nevada can be reached in just over an hour, opening up a whole host of other activities for anyone staying in self catering Capistrano Oasis accommodation. The Sierra Nevada are home to Europe’s most southerly ski resorts, which are very popular in the winter as you can ski in the morning, return to your Capistrano Oasis villa for lunch, then spend the afternoon happily stretched out on the beach! Throughout the rest of the year however, the hills of the Sierra Nevada are a haven for walking, riding and cycling holidays too.
If you visit a Capistrano Oasis property for any length of time, the streets of Nerja will become very familiar. Located just a kilometre away, the walk to Nerja is a lovely one. There is so much to do in the town, from the many restaurants and shops which fill the streets to the fantastic Nerja Caves which are found just a short walk from the town centre. The old town hides a wealth of historical treasures, which are best explored from the back of a horse-drawn carriage! The nightlife in Nerja is a particular attraction, and any walkers will be spoilt for choice for routes from the town up onto the Balcon de Europa.
The climate of Malaga province is a delight. With warm Mediterranean summers and short, dry winters, there is rarely a bad week to be in Capistrano Oasis accommodation. Temperatures reach well into the mid 30’s (˚C) during the day from May until late September, and even during January, you will be blessed with average temperatures of around 12˚C.
The Costa del Sol’s most important transport hub, Malaga Airport (AGP) can be reached in under an hour and a half from holiday rental accommodation in Capistrano Oasis. The airport receives a huge range of cheap flights from across Britain, provided by a huge range of airlines.
