Stunning Views! Perfect Getaway

5 of 5
We decided to stay here having enjoyed visiting Soller for the day on a previous trip, we are so glad that we did! It is now our favourite spot in Mallorca and we hope to return again soon. The views and gardens here are simply stunning, the photographs don't really do it justice. We enjoyed using the pool everyday and all the amenities we could have wanted were at hand. It was easy and a joy to walk down into town and pick up bits from either the supermarket or the local market, where you can get lots of tasty Mallorcan treats. We drove to the beach a couple of times, which had just the right amount of everything you could want from a port bay: sandy beaches with clear blue water and a range of sweet little shops and good restaurants etc. We also drove and walked to the nearby coastal villages, which were well worth visiting for their quaintness and for the coastal views, but we were pleased to return to this retreat everyday and relax with a glass of wine overlooking the valley and sunset. The house was very cool and comfortable, we often cooked using the outdoor kitchen area, which was well equipped and a nice novelty. There was a traditional fire, which we didn't need to put on as it was too warm but I can imagine it's lovely on colder evenings. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, whether relaxing, enjoying the grounds or the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this place to active types, as there's so many great walking and cycling routes to take, but equally, I would recommend it to anyone who just wanted to relax and sunbathe in a stunning location.

Lovely house - great location

5 of 5
The house was perfect for our family of four adults for a few days of rest and relaxation between Christmas and New Year. Full of character and thoughtfully furnished. We were very lucky with the weather, so were able to make the most of the sunny garden as well as the various cozy sitting areas in the evenings. Being such a short walk away from the town centre was wonderful, so we could mix eating in and eating out whenever we wanted without needing to use the car. The kitchen is so well equipped that it really felt like home. We really appreciated all the homely touches in the house and the quirky mix of art/sculpture. All the rooms were so much bigger than they appear in the photos, particularly because of the high ceilings. We were concerned that the house might be cold and draughty in winter, but the radiators kept it lovely and warm - although the boiler (oil fired?) was rather smelly. We never needed to use the wood-burner although wood and lighters were supplied. The only downside was the water pressure in the bathrooms. It was great to have three shower rooms for three bedrooms, but we had to have a rota to have showers, as only one could shower at once without taking water from the other. Fine when there were only four of us and family - but would have been more annoying with more people and/or people who know each other less well. If money needs to be spent anywhere in this house, the bathrooms need updating and power showers put in. This was our third visit to Soller, and we absolutely love the whole area: the town, the wonderful walks, the port, and the climate! We will definitely be back, and Cas Panares may well be our new best-kept secret!
