Things to do in Cala Anguila – Cala Mandia, Spain

Cala Mandia has a good range of amenities, including several shops, bars and restaurants. The eastern part of Majorca is known for its laid-back atmosphere, and you will not find a throbbing nightlife or hectic centre in either of these resorts, but if simply wish to relax this is the place to head. Why not pick up a bottle of wine and relax with a book outside your villa in Cala Mandia, soaking up the Majorcan sunshine.

The bays of Cala Anguila and Cala Mandia both have EU Blue Flag status, and boast fine white sands and crystal blue waters. There is also the option of heading the short distance to Cala Romantic which offers a number of water sports and a volleyball court.

The fishing village of Porto Cristo is just 5km away, and although the journey can easily be made by car, another option is to take a boat trip there and enjoy the scenery as you go. Porto Cristo boasts some high quality restaurants and an equally relaxed atmosphere. A number of other boat excursions can also be arranged from Cala Mandia.

The use of a rental car will give you the ultimate in flexibility for exploring the beautiful island of Majorca. The nearest town is Manacor, which is famous for its historical sites, pearl production and even more Blue Flag beaches, whilst further south, Santanyi mixes 13th century architecture with modern shopping and dining. Majorca, and especially the north-eastern corner, is also a golf-lovers paradise, with a number of courses to be enjoyed.

Lovely villa in a perfect location

The villa was lovely, spacious and very well equipped down the the smallest detail, for example various condiments and even hand soap in the bathrooms. The villa is in a quiet location close to 2 beaches that are an easy walk even with children. The owners were great from the start and ensured everything was just perfect for us. There are plenty of restaurants and a car is really not required but if you want to explore may be worth renting. Having rented properties for holidays during the last 10 years I can say this is the best and certainly contributed to an overall a fantastic holiday experience. I am already planning to return next year.

Great place to stay for those who want to relax. Excellent house in a very quiet location without being isolated. Chilling made easy with wonderful pool, terrace perfect to dine with lounge and kitchen beside.Recommended.
