  • Fantastic accommodation, beautiful location
    5 of 5

Warm welcome with drinks and items from the Bakery. Lots of advice given so you can enjoy the local area. Accomodation a high standard. Traditional but modern. Pool area has amazing views. Lovely shady area under trees for BBQ and table tennis. We had a fantastic holiday and would go back in a flash. Everything is provided from washing powder and dishwasher tablets to toilet roll and kitchen roll, even a bottle of bubbly in fridge when we arrived. We stayed in 2 bed apartment with our 2 boys and made friends with others staying there. There is a little supermarket, butchers, couple of bakers and Vic is not far away to find bigger supermarkets.

  • Beautiful Private Space
    4 of 5

The property is located at the bottom of a private road with only one nearby house sharing that road. The views from Casa Pau are amazing; uninterrupted countryside. We saw about 3 cars on the horizon in our week sitting round the pool and you are not overlooked by a soul. Perfect for friends and family to share, the pool is wonderful and the location gorgeous. Nearby Gironella (10 mins drive) is great for a local butcher, baker and smaller supermarkets. Berga (15 mins drive) is larger with a beautiful restaurant on the hill (La Cabana). A 5 minute drive from the house is the Michelin starred "Els Casels" restaurant. This jewel not only provides mind blowingly good food and wine but also provides farm tours where you can see where your impending dinner was grown. The only downsides to the house were the nearby cockerels that announced sunrise approximately 2 hours before sunrise and don't stop announcing the fact until midday. Earplugs essential for the light sleeper. Also, we were a bunch of foodies and cooked quite alot. The house is in DESPERATE need of a refresh of the cooking equipment. All knifes dull, pans worn and generally lacking in utensils, pots, pans and jugs. A car is essential, but with one, you are very close to the Pyrenees and tons of beautiful scenery and activities (not to mention 75 mins from Barcelona). Would be perfect if the cockerels were killed.
