Fabulous apartment!

It was very comfortable, well-equipped, exceptionally clean and in a very convenient position within Salamanca. Off road parking had been organised for our hire car at a very reasonable price and virtually opposite the apartment. This made days out visiting the surrounding area stress free on the return. A constructive suggestion would be to have some form of 'permit' to place on the dashboard as we were once challenged by the attendant who did not recognise the car as one authorised to park there. If permitted on the ninth floor, a parasol would have been useful for use over the patio table. We had a warm welcome from a very helpful lady who was able to advise us about practicalities such as disposing of rubbish etc. There were clear instructions, in Spanish and English, for the washing machine, dishwasher and coffee machines and we would highly recommend the property.

A very clean and large house with a pleasant outdoor space

We were welcomed at the house despite it being very late and Raul's mum showed us around. The house was lovely, clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. On the website, it said towels were included, but we decided to take our own, but there was no need to as there were more than enough towels. The house is in a development, but you definitely need a car to go anywhere. There is a super swimming pool nearby which we used on several occasions. It cost 2 euros 80 for adults and 2 euros for children. We ate at the Meson Viejo del Jamon which only cost us 9 euros 50 per head for a 3 course meal including wine. Make sure you leave plenty of time to visit Salamanca and don't miss the convent. The piscina natural is fabulous and not busy, a good drive, but well worth a visit. La Alberca is a beautiful Spanish village with a traditional Spanish atmosphere. We went to the tourist information where we were given a map with a trail that incorporates the main sites in the village. Raul is very good at answering any queries before you go. Overall, we had a lovely stay!
