Beautiful secluded mill in quiet small valley in Alpujarra.

5 of 5
The Mill is a beautiful place, the facilities are excellent. The views from the balconies are breath-taking over the valley, the sun beats down on the balcony from mid-morning to late evening. The waterfall and the small burn are lovely and very soothing and refreshing. The overall feel of the place is serenity and peaceful, from the Mill the walks to Juviles and Alcutar are spectacular and not too taxing on the average walker. the route around El Fuerte and the return from Timor via the ruta Medieval is worth the effort. The Mill is very easy to find from Granada, the road although winding and in the mountains is very modern and very well maintained, from Granada there is not need to rush as the vistas and photograph points are worth stopping for. The local facilities are excellent although not always amenable when required most shops are closed during the afternoon opening at 5 to 6.00pm but it is deep in Spanish countryside where the pace of life is slower but very friendly. The approach to the Mill from the road is down a steep incline which needs to be traversed after parking your car. This may be a burden to elderly or the those who struggle with fitness but again this adds to the charm, as you descend this path it follows the waterfall and you are in reality descending through history as you approach the Mill. The owner Robin is a very nice, friendly person who makes you feel very welcome and is very approachable if any issues, question, surprises arise during the stay. He has also installed a very up to date wifi system which allays a lot of the teenage angst if you're bringing said creatures with you.. My recommendation would be to come see this place for the relaxation and access to the great walks and pace of life.. Paul & Saadia and teenagers Rafi, Arif and Farah

Lovely quirky, cosy house.

Had a very good time in this unusual holiday home. It was very clean and well kept. The stairs are extremely steep, which was mentioned in the advert so was not a surprise. We couldn't get the television to work and without WiFi, was able to have an undisturbed restful break away from the hurly burly way of life back home. Only downside was our stay was far too short.
