  • A wonderful place for a fantastically fun, interesting and relaxed holiday
    5 of 5

Absolutely fantastic place. We (parents, two teenage daughters) had a wonderfully fun and relaxing holiday. The location and set up of the apartment give wonderful views down the pine-covered hillside to the coast and out across the sea, which you get as soon as you wake up (in the double bedroom), from the main room and from the open balcony where we had meals. The pool and terrace are also fantastic. We also really enjoyed the bigger communal pool (just beyond El Pinar restaurant) - I think that's only open July and August (?) It was a pretty constant 30-32 degrees and sunshine for us (second half of August) but if you open the windows and doors there's a lovely breeze. A bit warm at night but the fans in the rooms helped a lot (though the fan in the twin room could do with replacing). We enjoyed walking down the hill to the lovely little beach at Las Fuentes, and around and up the hill to hermitage. Everything from rent-a- pedalo beaches to quiet, good for snorkeling beaches to walking through unspoilt hills available within easy drives. We also enjoyed trips to Peniscola (nice castle in particular) and Vinaros (big town beaches + nice hermitage a bit inland), and particularly Morella (hour and a half inland, but very much worth it). But mostly, a whole lot of relaxed mooching around and la dolce fa niente (sorry, don't know the Spanish for that!). All seems like a dream now. Fabulous place.

  • unser kleines Paradies - our little paradies

Alcossebre: We (2 adults and 2 children - now 11+15 years) from Germany have already been to Alcossebre several times and will surely come back. The town is our little paradise, since we were here for the first time, because it is the way we like: always great weather, no big hotel complexes, but a clear cityscape with a small old town. From Casa Sara to the old town there is a great footpath, which partly leads along a wooden path always along the sea. A dream. Several beaches are reachable within 10 minutes walking distance. environment: Nearby is Peniscola (approx. 40 km). This is a postcard village - steeped in history with a beautiful castle and a quaint old town. In Castellón (about 50 km) you will also find shopping centres. Moreover, Valencia (approx. 120 km) is an absolute "must" for a day trip. We think: The most beautiful city on the Spanish Mediterranean coast - more beautiful than Barcelona! Casa Sara: We have already visited the "Palm Beach" complex several times, where Julie and Ronald's "Casa Sara" is also located. However, none of the other houses was so well equipped and lovingly furnished! Even some food was already in the fridge. Many thanks again! In addition, in Casa Sara there is a newer generation air conditioning system in every bedroom and in the living room - this is clearly above the standard of the other houses in the complex. The pool is located directly in front of the terrace in the inner courtyard of the complex and is suitable for both: swimmers and non-swimmers. The booking went smoothly and also otherwise we can only report the best about our hosts. @Julie and Ronald: We will certainly book again with you.
